Electrical Maintenance Engineering Maintenance Parts Service Rapid Dispatch

When your machine faults, it is vital that it can be repaired and back cutting in the shortest possible time. Plazmax® service and support machines all over New Zealand and have service partners in other countries.

The factory trained Plazmax® technicians will firstly, try and diagnose and fix a problem remotely and if they are unable to, will get to your site as a matter of urgency and get you back up and cutting.

Plaxmax® are able to service and support both Hypertherm and Kaliburn products. We hold many Hypertherm parts in stock and can quickly air freight other parts as required.

Initial and periodic ongoing training is a service offered by Plazmax®. Training can cover safe work practices, machine operation, consumables usage and nesting software operation. Many operators are not obtaining the best results due to a lack of knowledge in certain areas. Correct consumable usage can often improve cut quality and reduce operating costs.

Ongoing education and training is an investment that can pay dividends for all owners of profile cutting machines.

Many CNC plasma cutting systems and/or operating practices do not comply with current health and safety legislation. Plazmax® offers a safety integrity level (SIL) assessment with a written report detailing identifiable risks and hazards and suggested remedial work required to achieve compliance under the Health and Safety Work Act 2015.

Typical areas of non-compliance often relate to safety stop systems, wiring, and fume extraction.

There are many CNC plasma cutting machines that are either unreliable and/or produce poor results. Some of the older machines have legacy components, which means parts are no longer manufactured and there is no ongoing support. If any legacy parts fail, the machine could be down for some time.

Plazmax® have successfully completed a number of retrofits, breathing new life into machines for their owners. However, not every machine is a suitable candidate for a retrofit and due to the age, the way they have been built and/or the amount of work they have done, some machines have very little worth saving.

Plazmax® can assess machines for retrofitting and report on the viability of doing this or otherwise. The general rule is that a machine needs to have originally been well constructed to justify retrofitting with new technology.
